Application
EZ Stain can be applied in many ways. The most common are daubing, spraying, pouring or dipping. Depending on the surface and its texture you will have to determine the technique that works best for you. The surface can be either damp or dry with different results for each. We recommend testing on a small inconspicuous sample piece or area. Make sure that EZ Stain is mixed or shaken very well and often before staining to keep it uniform. Many surfaces have irregularities, and EZ Stain may show variances in these areas. EZ Stain can be used in artistic layering (faux), or it can be used as one solid color. When installing layers with different colors on each coat you can get a unique pattern, (Marbling effect), expressing a beautiful and custom unique look. This technique is very handy when trying to match or blend existing areas that have previously been colored.

Methods of application:
Daubing - EZ Stain can be daubed on with sponges, rags, and different faux products that are made for staining. This daubing technique works on smooth, flat, wood and dry surfaces.

Spraying - EZ Stain can be sprayed on with either an air compressor or pump type garden sprayer. Apply a thin even coat. If using a roller or a soft angled tip broom, be sure to use long even strokes to avoid lap lines. Since surfaces vary in texture and porosity, two coats may be required for a uniform color appearance.

Pouring - EZ Stain can be poured on surfaces that are lightly pre soaked or dry. It is best for large areas or objects such as walls, driveways, and statuaries to be pre wet before applying EZ Stain; this will help the stain to soak in more evenly. Be sure not to over wet the area or surface. EZ Stain will not take to areas soaked with water or where puddles are present. On areas where EZ Stain is not desired, use a good flow of water because EZ Stain will not adhere to soaked or puddled areas.

Dipping - EZ Stain can be applied on smaller items by dipping them. Be sure to mix or shake EZ Stain very well before pouring the stain into your dipping station or chosen container for the best results
